Hand washing is the most important way to reduce the spread of germs and illnesses in your classroom. It's essential for children and staff to follow all the steps for proper hand washing and to avoid recontamination once hands are clean.

Key points:
Wet hands first
Apply soap and scrub hands for at least 20 seconds
Dry with single-use paper towel or hand dryer
Use paper towel to turn off faucet
